As someone always looking for new trends, I was excited a few years ago when the subscription clothing box trend popped up! A stylist picks out items for you, you pay a small fee for each box and only pay for what you keep. Unfortunately, shopping for petite friendly clothing is a whole different beast! Finding clothes that fit properly is just the minimum, you deserve to look and feel good too.
I was so excited when I found out about Short Story Box, a brand solely focused on styling petites. Bonus is that they are based out of San Francisco, and I love supporting local brands!
The process is so easy!
Use a referral link from a friend (me!) to waive your first styling fee
Hop onto their site
Fill out your style profile
Look forward to receiving your box!
Try on your new clothes and whatever you don't like send back in their pre-paid labeled bag
Repeat! Future boxes are $25 styling fee but it can be used toward any purchases you make!
Their process is nothing but thoughtful and it shows in many of their practices (including their adorable packaging!)

My tips for getting the most out of your experience:
Their questionnaire is extensive (and this is a good thing!) In this same vein, they ask about price range so you'll only receive items inside your typical budget! When someone else is picking clothes for you, measurements and your style preferences go a long way. Be as specific as possible.
Take your measurements! In general, this is my advice for all online shopping as sizing can vary so much. Short Story Box gets it and they even send a measuring tape with your first box so they can keep refining sizing.
For future reference, I am Chest: 31 in, waist: 25 in, hips: 35 in (where my pear shaped ladies at? :)
Remember this is an iterative process! I had a couple winners in my first box, but a few that didn't do it for me. That is ok and it's all part of the process. The stylist needs to get to know you and what you love. They welcome feedback online when you return items and it is very user friendly!
